At only 26, Nathan Chantob presents paintings of a rare quality. Nathan’s works are the result of long hours of drawing relentlessly but also of the accidents he creates, throwing paint on the almost finished piece before refining its lines. By dint of testing, Nathan Chantob portraits become more powerful and alert to deliver his emotions, the deepest.
Nathan Chantob is an emerging contemporary French painter born in 1991. Since his younger age he has been drawing and later developed his skills during his studies at St Luc du Tournai in Belgium. Influenced by Egon Schiele, Freud and Munch his paintings reveal Chantob’s strong feelings and deep emotions. Nathan Chantob’s instinct dictates the subjects of his works and then a long phase of preparation follows, during which he multiplies the drawings before starting on the actual canvas. The artist is always trying new techniques, mostly involving oil on canvas but also going further. It seems simply impossible to stay impassive in front of Nathan Chantob’s art.
