Patrizia
Casagranda
Patrizia Casagranda is a contemporary German painter born in 1979 in Stuttgart, Germany. She has Italian roots and was raised in Germany. Casagranda began her artistic training in 1994 as a student of the artist Thomas Dürr in Stuttgart.
Casagranda’s paintings are described as alluring invitations to dream and take the viewer on an inner voyage. Her artistic style was influenced by the ancient Roman frescoes and street art found in Pompeii, which she considers the “street art of antiquity.”
Casagranda’s works often feature dreamlike scenes with surreal elements and vibrant colors. Her paintings are characterized by a unique blend of realism and abstraction, creating a sense of mystery and imagination.
Patrizia Casagranda has exhibited her works internationally, including solo and group exhibitions in Germany, Italy, and other European countries. She has gained recognition in the contemporary art world winning several awards, including the International Artprize Michelangelo in 2023 and is a 2 times recipient of the Florence Biennale Lorenzo il Magnifico Award.
