From Calder to now: Contemporary wire artworks

Pioneered by Alexander Calder wire remains a chosen medium for contemporary artists. Even though they work with this same medium, Tomohiro Inaba, Lene Kilde and Laure Simoneau offer very different artworks. While Inaba’s work reflect on the relationship between nature and humans Lene‘s works are inspired by what the artist considers the purest form of expressions, children’s emotion. On a completely different note Laure Simoneau creates feminine and delicate sculptures, where a game of hide-and-seek between light and shadows happen.
